Los Angeles-based Songtradr has welcomed two new names to its board of administrators: Alex Rigopulos and Priyanka Khimani.
Rigopulos is the co-founder of Harmonix, the music-based interactive leisure studio behind Rock Band.
As we speak, Rigopulos continues to guide Harmonix at Epic. Over time he has performed an instrumental position within the improvement of Rock Band and different gaming sequence reminiscent of Guitar Hero and Dance Central.
Songtradr stated in an announcement that Rigopulos’ “deep understanding of each music and expertise shall be invaluable as Songtradr continues to develop its world footprint”.
Additionally becoming a member of Songtradr’s board is Priyanka Khimani, leisure lawyer and managing associate at Khimani Associates.
Considered one of South Asia and MENA’s most influential music leisure attorneys, Khimani has represented many high-profile purchasers within the leisure business reminiscent of AR Rahman, AP Dhillon, Divine, Reservoir Media, Warner Music Group, Snap Inc, Netflix, and others.
Songtradr stated that her “experience in leisure legislation and her dedication to defending artistic works align completely with Songtradr’s mission to empower artists and rights holders worldwide”.

Final week, Songtradr-owned Bandcamp introduced it was partnering with EMPIRE to convey artists reminiscent of Key Glock, Conway the Machine, Dinner Get together, Olamide, Asake, Black Sherif and Shaboozey to the superfan platform.
Inside that announcement, Bandcamp confirmed that it’s utilized by 47 million followers and that it has “performed a pivotal position within the careers of over 5 million artists”.
