BEIJING — A hazardous items container exploded Friday on a cargo ship in China’s high-traffic Ningbo port, Taiwanese vessel proprietor Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. instructed CNBC in a press release.
No casualties or accidents have been introduced thus far. The incident happened on the YM Mobility ship and led to a fireplace, which has been introduced underneath management, the proprietor mentioned. All individuals on board have been safely evacuated.
The Liberia-flagged ship had arrived in Ningbo after final calling at Shanghai, in line with MarineTraffic monitoring information. State-owned port operator Ningbo-Zhoushan mentioned the ship was docked on the Beilun 2 container terminal, in line with a put up on Chinese language social media.
